Can my creditcards garnishee my paycheck?

I had a collection agent tell me that if I didn’t pay my bill they would take me to court and seize my wages. Can they do this? Can they take everything? Can I stop this? What are my rights?

Tax lien

Hello, my husband and I currently own our own home and CRA has filed a lien against our property in my husbands name for $25,000. If we were to file a bankruptcy in Alberta will this lien be included in our bankruptcy debt? Or will it survive a the bankruptcy?

Trustee Discharge

I have just been discharged from bankruptcy, but the trustee mentioned it would be a few months before he would be discharged… is this normal?

CPP Owing

Several years ago I was self employed and have been assessed for an amount owing for Canada Pension Plan premiums. If I filed a bankruptcy would this be cleared.

completed consumer proposal

What normally happens once a consumer proposal is completed, can any of the creditors listed in the proposal come back after me and sue me for the outstanding debts?

I have often heard both the terms Bankruptcy and Bankruptcy Protection, what is the difference?
