small claims court and bankruptcy

Can someone declare bankrupcy while being sued in Small Claims Court? If they do are they cleared from the damages. I ask because my husband and I are suing a company and the owner personally for damages of over $6000 and rumor has it that this person may be filing for bankruptcy. If they do […]

One quick question regarding the time frame of a bankruptcy. I filed on March 10th 2007. I dont think many of my creditors have received documents yet and many of my creditors still continue to harass me, even though i told then when and with who i filed.
