first steps in a consumer proposal

My husband and I are intrested in filing a consumer proposal but don`t know where to start. What we would need to do to start and can you give us an idea of the fees and costs involved?

Government pension, is it exempt if I file for bankruptcy?

I work for the provincial governemnt. I have for 23 years. If I declare bankruptcy is my pension exempt? Can my creditors come after my pension?

is a corporate bankruptcy necessary?

I have a limited company here in alberta. I have about 25k in tax debt, another 40k i owe to suppliers, a line of credit for about 20k. The corporation has no assets, do I need to file for Bankruptcy?

Consumer Proposal limits

I have heard that there are changes to the legilsation pending. Do you know when these changes will take effect?
The one I am most interested in is the change in the consumer proposal limits from $75,000 to $250,000?
Any advice would be appreciated.

traffic fines and penalties

I am looking at filing either a bankruptcy or a consumer proposal (but I can`t decide). The one thing I can`t find on this site deals with traffic fines. Can these be cleared by filing a bankruptcy or a proposal?
