If I understand this correctly once you recieve the unconditional absolution this is the final step in bankruptcy then it is done yes? My question is once your past this phase can we sell our home to buy another (no mortgages involved or anything)or do we still have to pay moneys from the sale to the trustee? Or are we absolutely free and clear at this point?

I am not sure what you mean by unconditional absolution. If you are referring to an absolute discharge then this is correct. However, receiving an absolute discharge it would be very unusual for someone to have a home with no mortgage on it (unless the value is less than $40,000) or money to make that large of a purchase out right. This makes me question whether you have been discharged or if you are still in a state of bankruptcy. You may want to confirm with your trustee if a discharge has taken place and if so whether this means you have been discharged or your trustee has been discharged.
