When filing for bankruptcy every trustee in Canada must apply a guideline that is sent by the Superintendent of Bankruptcy.
This guideline is first based on total household income, but then multiplies the result by your percentage of the household income.
As a result the income is reflective of your poriton of the household income not your spouse’s.
