Hello,

I have about 2.700 in visa card debt, I live with my boyfriend of 4 years, he is on a disability pension where he recieves about $1900 per month. Both myself and my 2 children are under his pension. I do some babysiting and odd jobs which bring in about $430 per month. My question is this, will my crediotrs be able to touch his pension. Does this change if I declare bankruptcy.

If none of the debts are related to your boyfriend’s debts then there is no way your creditors can access his pension. This doesn’t change if you file bankrutpcy as it is your bankruptcy, he will not sign on any component of the bankruptcy and won’t be responsible for any portion of it or be affected by it.
