This is a great site. I really appreciate having a place to ask my questions and wanted to thank-you in advance.

Here is the scoop. I filled for bankruptcy on Jan. 12, 2008 and the papers didn’t come in untill just yesterday. So I am just now begining my first month of teh bankruptcy and I have decided I made a mistake. How can I reverse this? My big concern is that me and my common law parthner are moving to another province and I now have found out he’ll be making enough money to pay my bills. What happens when you cancel a bankruptcy?

Once you filed it is not that simple to just cancel a bankruptcy. So you can contact your trustee to explore this in more detail but it is only in very rare circumstances this is even possible (and from what you have said it doesn’t sound like it will be possible for you).

The one thing you could consider is the filing fo a proposal, this will serve to annul the bankruptcy automatically but you will still have to work your way through the proposal.
