I live in Edmotnon, I need to file for bankruptcy but I am worried about my cell phone. If I file for bankruptcy will I be allowed to keep this phone? It is my only phone, I have no land line and need it to stay in touch with my family and friends. Is this allowed?
Can I keep a cell phone if I file for bankruptcy?

In most instances yes you can keep your cell phone. As long as you are current with your cel phone bill and have the ability to continue to pay it every month, then you don’t have anything to worry about.
However, if you owe substantial to your cell provider then you would be requried to list them as a creditor and likely wouldn’t be able to retain that account.
