I have to file for bankruptcy, and within a few months, I`m moving to a different province? (For work and to be closer to family for support) How will this affect me? Can I still move? I also have a 07` vechile, will I be able to keep it? I will be using it for work when I get there, and I have a son that I am parenting alone, I need this vechile, what are my chances of keeping it??? Please post a response….

There is no problem with you relocating after you have filed a bankruptcy, once the original meetings are out of the way the rest of the bankruptcy can largely be done from a distance. The one trick is with the 2 counselling sessions you must attend. Now if you file right away we may be able to get them finished prior to you moving (if you have a couple of months as a window), but even if we don’t have sufficient time we can always arrange for you to attendend them in a different city, or if you are no where near a trustee’s office) we can sometimes get permission to do them via telephone.
Either way there should be no real difficulties if you do need to move part way through a bankruptcy.
