Hello, I am an 80 yr old woman who gets a small pension. I have almost $30,000 in credit card debt. Roughtly 1 year ago I signed half of my home and property over to my daughter. Can my creditors put a lien on this property even though it is not in my name any more? Thx

This is really dependent on the specific circumstances under which the transfer occurred. Likely, if there was no money involved, then your creditors could attack the transaction under the Fraudulent Preference Act of Alberta. If successful this would result in the transaction being null and void, the ownership would be returned to your name and the creditors able to register against title.
