In January 2003 I filed a consumer proposal. This proposal was annulled because I couldn’t afford the payments. In July 2005 I filed a bankruptcy but I didn`t finish the bankruptcy as I found the paperwork to difficult to keep up on. What can I do now?

At this point you have two options. You can either contact your trustee and make arrangements directly to bring things up to speed or you could pay a lawyer to do this. The cheaper way is to contact your trustee as if you contact a lawyer he will be contacting your trustee and eventually you will have to pay both your legal fees and the costs of the bankruptcy. Be advised that this is not always an easy or straightforward process. There likely be additional costs added by court as a result of your failure to do things on a timely basis, but the sooner you get moving on things the less likely the court will be harsh.
