Why does it matter to wait & not get married until AFTER bankruptcy??? Can the creditors go after my husband to-be`s income??? Or does it just mean more money has to be paid to the trustee?

Maritial status isn’t really the issue it is the number of people and the income of thse people in the household. If you have another persion in the household then the cost may go up, but it will not go up solely based on this other persons income, it would go up with your percentage of the household income.
Do not worry, the creditors will not have the right to go ager a spouse / common law partner unless they signed on you debt. But if no signature was given they are not legally responsible for your debt.
