childrens RESP`s

If I was to claim bankruptcy how would this affect my childrens RESP. I have invested them through the Canadian Scholarship Trust Fund.

Any RESP’s that exist are lost as part of a bankruptcy. RESP’s are not seen as true trust property and unfortunatly upon filing of a bankruptcy they vest in the trustee and are used for the general benefit of creditors.
