travel during bankruptcy

If i file for a bankruptcy am i allowed to get a passport and travel out of Canada? Even if I filed a bankruptcy?

There is nothing in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act that would prevent you from either obtaining a passport or travelling outside of Canada, regardless of whether you have filed a bankruptcy or not.

The only thing you may want to do is to contact your trustee, inform him that you will be away and for how long, and to determine if there is anything crucial that needs to be done prior to your vacation.
