When declaring bankruptcy is there a difference in severity based on amount? Does the court see $10,000 the same as $100,000 ?

How a bankruptcy operates typically is not impact by the amount of debt you have. Now the type of debt can influence things, but the amount usually isn’t the biggest issue. So most people find that the bankruptcy is largely the same whether you have $10k or 100K of debt.
