This is a question you are better to ask to the person you owe the money. The bank can reposes the vehicle almost as soon as you miss a single payment, the question becomes how lenient is that bank or sometimes more importantly how lenient is the person you are dealing with. So I would encourage you to contact the institution who holds title to your vehicle.
