10 year student loan rule

Is it still 10 years before a student loan can be filed as part of your bankruptcy? I know things were going to change. Has it?

No, on July 7, 2008 this rule changed from 10 years down to 7 years. So now as long as 7 years or greater has expired since the date you last attended school, a bankruptcy will then release you from the student loan debt.
