bankruptcy and impact on common law partner

I need to fill for bankruptcy. I have downloaded some of the materials, was looking over an application form with my common law partner and I see a lot of information relating to my common law (i.e. his work, SIN number etc.) I understand that the cost of bankruptcy is calculated based on our household monthly income and I am fine with this, but He does not want to give his SIN number, employer information as he is afraid that bankruptcy could effect his credit rating, inheritances and his property. He is willing to provide his monthly income but no official paystubs or Personal Information. Are his concerns about his own personal exposure valid?

If he refuses to comply with providing this information does it prevent me from filling for bankruptcy?

The monthly income is the important one, SIN is really only needed for the filing of your taxes as his number must be listed on your return as he is your common law spouse. However, if he simply isn’t willing to provide the SIN you may be able to work around this.
