wife has cosigned, what if I file for bankruptcy

Hello. I have a bunch of debts and my wife has co-signed for a number of them. If i file bankruptcy is she obligated to file along with me?

If your wife has signed on any of the debts and just you file for bankruptcy, she will still be fully responsible for them. So you may want to consider the filing of a joint bankruptcy, if enough of your debt is similar you may both be able to file a joint bankruptcy and the result may be that it will that for the same cost you will both be cleared from all of the debt.
