If two people are legally married but have been separated for 5 years and the husband`s business is going bad and he wants to file for bankruptcy how will this affect the wife. Should she divorce before he files for bankruptcy.

This really won’t have any impact on you, unless you are listed jointly on any of his debts.
In terms of the divorce, it makes no real difference if you file for before or after a bankruptcy is filed.
