I may have to file for bankruptcy. Right now I have no assets, my son and I are living with my boyfriend. He owns the house, all the furniture, we pay no rent and he is simply letting us stay because I am in a difficult position. My only assets are really personal items like clothes, shoes and some toys for me and my son. If I file for bankruptcy will it impact my boyfriend`s assets?
What is the impact on of bankruptcy on others who are helping me out.

Your bankruptcy should not have any impact on your boyfriend. To have an impact on him he would either have to jointly own property with you or have signed on your debts. As neither of these has been done the bankruptcy will really only have an impact on you, not him.
