how does a bankruptcy impact my taxes?

I need to know if bankruptcy affects my income tax refund or my child tax credit? I think I need to file, but I just need to know what the impact of everything will be.

When you file for bankruptcy you will lose your tax refunds for the year of bankruptcy and any year previous. This also would apply to GST cheques (if you qualify for them) but not to Child Tax Benefit. Your Child Tax Benefit would still be sent to you.
