So as it sits now, in Alberta your RRSP contributions are <a HREF="http://www.bankruptcy-alberta.com/what-do-I-lose.htm" rel="nofollow">exempt from seizure </A> when a <a HREF="http://www.bankruptcy-canada.ca/whatIsBankruptcy.htm" rel="nofollow">bankruptcy</A> is filed, regardless of when the contributions were made or whether or not they are held in a segregated fund. So as it sits now, in Alberta your RRSP contributions are exempt from seizure when a bankruptcy is filed, regardless of when the contributions were made or whether or not they are held in a segregated fund.
