student loans and a consumer proposal

Hello, I am currently attending school. I am in my second year of nursing.

I have student loans that have got me through the first 2 years. But my vehicle payment and credit cards are way behind.

So much that I feel like I am drownding and it s beginning to affect my school work. Im thinking about filling a consumer proposal, but need to know how this would impact my ability to get a student loan for next year?

Historically if you are in the final 2 years of studies and do not transfer into a different program then you will be considered for loans to finish the program. However, you may want to confirm this with Canada and Alberta Student Loans as they often change their internal guidelines.
