I was going to call a trustee to sit down and have them review my finances, but I need to get a list of creditors before I do. what is the est way to get this ?

I am in a bind and I am having a hard time making my payments on all my credit cards, my line of credit and really all my bills. I don`t want to go bankrupt but was wondering what other options do I have other than bankruptcy?

I assume there are rules about garnisheeing of wages. Is this correct? Assuming I am correct how much of one’s earnings can they garnishee? Most of my debt is to the governemt, are they still bound by these rules.

I owe about 60k. Most of it is credit card debt but I hae a few small loans as well and I now am in a spot where I cannot even afford to make the minimum payments. If I filed for bankruptcy can these companies come after my home?

I need to get a list of my creditors. I have moved 3 times and can`t find any statements. I think that student loans were spilt into 3 places (bank, provincial, and federal), but I can`t remember for sure. I also want to know if there are any other bills that I am not remembering. [...]

What is the maximum time frame a creditor has to collect a debt? What legislation / regulation governs this? If these regulations exist, do they apply in the event of a failed consumer proposal or OPD?
