If I file a consumer proposal over a bankruptcy will I still have a bad credit rating?

Anytime the full debt is not paid will result in a negative comment on your credit bureau report, this includes a proposal, a bankruptcy or even a plan through a credit counselor (although all have a different impact, the impact listed for a proposal is an R7 for a maximum of 3 years from the date your proposal is finished).
For more information on this and how you can rebuild a credit rating quicker than the maximum you are best to contact a licensed trustee directly.
