I filled a consumer Proposal which required me to pay 700.00 per month for three years. I had a child and could no longer afford to make these payments, so I failed my proposal. This was Three years ago. I tryed to open a checking account and was refused by the bank. What do I need to do to try to get my credit back The people that did my proposal said as along as I was not being bothered by anyone dont worry about it. I need to know what steps or option I may have to fix this mess I made can you help?

You are going to have to make some arrangements to deal with the debts you owe. While this may be via a bankruptcy or OPD, it can’t be done through a proposal as you can only offer 1 consumer proposal.
