Last week I was laid off. This is largely due to an illness I have but regardless I have been fighting with my creditors ever since.

Currently I on Welfare and make $885.00 per month. I have 2 teenage daughters who I support and have no other income coming in. I have been reading your posts and see you have told someone else they were Judgement Proof, what does does judgement proof mean?? Will it help me get rid of these annoying collectors. I am very stressed, the stress affects my health and all thse calls are not helping! Is there something I can say to him to have them stop??

Being “judgement proof” generally means that the you are in a position where neither your income or your assets are can be attacked by your creditors to satisfy a judgement (i.e. assets a creditor cannot seize by going to court and getting a judgement).

As a result this means that your assets are protected from being seized nor can your income be garnished by your unsecured creditors.
